HSC Recycle

Every bottle and can you recycle eases the strain on our natural resources and reduces greenhouse gases in our skies. Want to step up your efforts to help the environment and the future for our children? No doubt, reaching for the recycling bin just feels right. So Graystone HSC wanted to help you with that process. Every first Friday of the month, we accept your recyclable bottles and cans at Drop-Off.

Graystone HSC will accept aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal California Redemption Value (CRV) containers. All proceeds go back into the Graystone HSC program and services - a great fund raiser that is good for the environment.

Emergency Baggie Due

The HSC will be assisting in the school-wide preparations for disaster emergencies, such as an earthquake or local emergency. Each classroom is equipped with a plastic container filled with minimal supplies that would assist our teachers and students in the event of an emergency. You can help with this project by sending the following items to school for each of your students in the plastic bag that was sent home.

  • Small comfort items, such as a note to your child, family picture or a small toy
  • Small purse-size package of facial tissue
  • Plastic garbage bag (cut out holes for head and arms) for protection from the elements (i.e. wind, rain) or plastic rain poncho
  • One non-perishable food item, such as a granola bar, dried fruits or energy bar

Please mark the bag with your student’s name and the teacher’s name using a permanent ink marker.
